When training really makes a difference: 24 hours of real, intense and transformative training
Portugal Lisbon 8-9 March 2025
When Training Makes the Difference: 24 hours of real-world training. We’re proud to have joined the International Disaster Medicine Operations Course, endorsed by the European Centre for Disaster Medicine. It was a hands-on experience that brought together civilian and professional participants from across Europe and beyond, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Spain, Poland, and Kazakhstan, to prepare for the unpredictable. From tactical combat casualty care and triage to complex emergency response scenarios under extreme pressure, this course tested our skills, resilience, and ability to make critical decisions. CEMEC was honored to contribute to the course by delivering a lecture on disaster medicine, reinforcing the importance of international collaboration, preparedness, and knowledge sharing in facing today’s global risks. Under the pouring rain, in low temperatures, and in highly realistic simulations, we trained not only in life-saving techniques, but also in teamwork, leadership, and managing stress in multilingual and multidisciplinary environments. Huge thanks to @Verónica Aquilino, MilitarCoach and fire and the military units in Portugal, for their vision and to all the instructors and participants who made this a truly impactful training. #CEMEC #DisasterMedicine #CrisisManagement #EmergencyPreparedness #TCCC #TrainingToSaveLives #MilitarCoach #InternationalCooperation #Lisbon2025 #Resilience #RealTrainingRealImpactn2025 #Resilience #RealTrainingRealImpact
