14° Global Summit of National Ethics Committee

"Crisis, Evolution, Growth: Contributions and Challenges of National Ethics Committees in a world of uncertainty" San Marino, 17-19 april 2024

The European Center for Disaster Medicine, sponsor of the 14th Global Summit of the Ethics and Bioethics Committees, discussed the event and future collaborations on the occasion of the welcome visit to the Center by the President of the Bioethics Committee, Prof. Maria Luisa Borgia .
In fact, in April 2024, the Republic of San Marino will be the host nation of the Global Summit promoted by the World Health Organization together with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization - UNESCO.
The Conference, hosted for the first time in a small state thanks to the great work carried out during the pandemic by the National Bioethics Committee, will be an opportunity for reflection, discussion and exchange of ideas and experiences at an international level.
In particular, the States will be able to discuss the strengthening of their health systems, universal access to innovation, health education and attention to human vulnerabilities, with the common goal of being ready to face crises and emergencies.
