European Centre for Disaster Medicine Partners with HMIMMS Course
The European Centre for Disaster Medicine (CEMEC) partnered, as Distinguished Guest, with the International Course on Hospital Major Incident Medical Management and Support (HMIMMS) held in the United Arab Emirates. Developed by the Advanced Life Support Group (ALSG), this course underlines the importance of simulation-based education and training in healthcare, particularly for those involved in the planning, training, and management of major hospital incidents.HMIMMS provides both theoretical principles and practical skills designed to enhance the coordination and effectiveness of medical, nursing, administrative, and support staff during significant incidents. The course aims to ensure a more organized and consistent response when a hospital faces the challenges imposed by major events, impacting available resources and daily activities.
The final Graduation Ceremony was a highlight of the event, featuring keynote speeches from leaders of both CEMEC and ALSG. Their expertise provided invaluable guidance to the participants, marking a successful conclusion to an impactful and educational course.
