FIRST AID KNOWLEDGE and USE of the DEFIBRILLATOR San Marino 27 January 2023
Empowering Community Resilience with Life-Saving Skills Through Comprehensive TrainingRecognizing the critical role that immediate and effective intervention plays in emergency situations, the European Centre for Disaster Medicine (CEMEC) has committed itself to enhancing public awareness and response capabilities. With a primary focus on fostering a resilient and well-prepared citizenry, the Centre aims to bridge the knowledge gap surrounding first aid practices and the utilization of defibrillators.
In this context, a program tailored for citizens has been designed, ensuring accessibility for people from all walks of life. Covering a spectrum of skills crucial for rendering aid during emergencies, the training encompasses everything from basic first aid techniques to sessions on defibrillator operation.
The training modules, developed in collaboration with leading medical experts and recently delivered this week, incorporate the latest guidelines and best practices in disaster medicine. Participants engaged in hands-on training sessions, simulations, and interactive learning experiences that closely mirrored real-life emergency scenarios.
Furthermore, the European Centre for Disaster Medicine has established partnerships with local communities, educational institutions, and healthcare organizations to facilitate the widespread adoption of these training programs. By fostering a culture of preparedness and community resilience, the Centre aims to create a network of individuals ready to respond effectively to emergencies, ultimately saving lives.
