First cycle of meetings: Upper secondary schoolAs part of the activities undertaken for the development of active citizenship skills, an educational project entitled KNOW YOUR ROAD took place in the classrooms of the San Marino High School from 5 to 11 May, organised in cooperation with the Civil Police, the Gendarmerie and the Civil Defence, with the aim of fostering awareness and the internalisation of values and behaviours that lead to responsible and constructive forms of coexistence.
Six meetings were held in which various aspects of road safety and the rules of the Highway Code were examined in depth, as well as behaviour to be adopted, the perception of risks and dangers, legal responsibility, protection of the integrity of the body and first aid.
The meetings were attended by 80 children attending five first classes of the Sammrinesi Institutes.
The close cooperation between the entities involved, with the common aim of training the new generations of citizens and disseminating good practices and virtuous behaviour, was fundamental in ensuring the project's success.

Second cycle of meetings: Professional Training Centre
On Monday 20 November 2023 , the road safety course "Know your Road" began for all students of the Professional Training Center, organized in collaboration with the CEMEC - European Center for Catastrophe Medicine. The lessons, divided into 3 meetings, will be multidisciplinary and carried out by the Civil Police, the Gendarmerie and the medical staff of the ISS who will meet all the classes to talk about issues related to Road Safety: the perception of risk and dangers of the road, the risks of driving after taking drugs, the legal and criminal responsibilities of various infringements, the consequences of reckless behavior on the integrity of the body, first aid. The objective is to provide children with the tools to analyze the risks, often underestimated, of various driving behaviors, to make the right choices by making them aware of the consequences, stimulating reflection on civil and responsible coexistence and trying to make the roads more safe for everyone.
