Successful Conclusion of the Pediatric Disaster Medicine Winter School
Salzburg 5-7 March 2025
The European Centre for Disaster Medicine was proud to support the Winter School “Pediatric Disaster Medicine” organized by Paracelsus Medical University in Salzburg, Austria, in collaboration with the European Centre for Disaster Medicine, the Uniklinikum Landeskliniken Salzburg, the World Association for Disaster and Emergency Medicine – European Chapter, the European Council for Disaster Medicine, and the World Humanitarian Forum.This international program brought together more than 30 participants, lecturers, and trainers, providing healthcare professionals with essential skills to manage pediatric emergencies in disaster settings. CEMEC made a significant contribution by deepening discussions on Preventive Medicine in Humanitarian Emergencies, Biological Incidents and Bioterrorism Management, and Disaster Medicine Training and Education.
Leading experts gathered in Salzburg to explore innovative strategies in pediatric triage, crisis management, and psychosocial support for children affected by disasters. We extend our sincere gratitude to all students and faculty for their participation and their commitment to strengthening global emergency response.
