Partnership for Civil Servant Training on Emergency Response

The European Center for Disaster Medicine (CEMEC) has started a collaboration with the Civil Protection Service of the Republic of San Marino to train 1,000 public administration employees in first aid. The initiative is structured to accommodate both first-time and more experienced employees, ensuring that all staff are equipped with up-to-date emergency response skills.The program includes an 8-hour course, divided between theory and practice, spread over two days to adapt to the operational needs of different working environments. The training aims to prepare the first 300 employees by the end of the year, focusing on essential skills such as injury assessment, emergency communication and life-saving techniques such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Participants will also learn how to effectively manage first aid supplies, ensuring they are always ready for any emergency. This strategic partnership underlines a strong commitment to enhancing the capabilities and readiness of public sector workers in the face of potential disasters.
