Here are the highlights: Growth in Numbers - Courses and Events: 160 in 2024. - Participants: 9,365 in 2024, supported by 316 trainers and speakers. National Achievements - 92 National Training Courses: Engaging 1,542 participants with 221 expert trainers, covering a wide array of topics in disaster medicine and emergency management. - 16 National Events: Bringing together 1,150 participants and 35 trainers to discuss disaster risk management, emergency preparedness, and resilience-building. International Milestones - 52 International Courses, Workshops, Seminars, and Conferences: Attracting 6,133 participants and 60+ trainers, focusing on disaster risk management, public health emergencies, and chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear ed explosive (CBRNe) threat mitigation. - +20 Prestigious International Meetings: Showing CEMEC's leadership in fostering global collaboration and disaster prevention and response. - CEMEC Scholarship Program: A €20,000 scholarship offered to San Marino citizens, enabling participation in the Master's in Sustainable Humanitarian Action in collaboration with DIHAD and UCAM. Major Projects in 2024 - EUROMED PROTECT-NET: A project aimed at enhancing disaster risk governance in the Euro-Mediterranean region. - ENSURE-PROTECT: A project focused on improving safety for healthcare and civil protection personnel through advanced training and specialized equipment. - SHIELD-EXCEL: A project designed to strengthen CBRN risk mitigation through dedicated training facilities and controlled testing environments. Global Presence and Digital Impact - Scientific Activity & Publications: In 2024, the Centre authored and published 11 impactful works advancing disaster medicine and emergency management. - 12 New Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs): CEMEC formalized significant strategic partnerships with national and international organizations to further advance innovation and foster collaboration. - Social Media Reach: CEMEC's social media platforms, including the official website, LinkedIn, and Facebook, were regularly updated to showcase and promote the Centre's ongoing activities and initiatives.
