CEMEC: 11th Edition of the Evening of “Pediatric First Aid” - Oct. 16, 2024

For the 11th consecutive year, CEMEC is organizing an evening dedicated to “Pediatric First Aid” as part of the national “Viva!” project. The event will be held on October 16, 2024 and is a well-established event to raise awareness of pediatric Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) maneuvers.

The “Viva!” project is an awareness campaign, created in 2013 at the initiative of the Italian Resuscitation Council (IRC), in response to the invitation of the European Union and the European Resuscitation Council (ERC). The goal is to spread awareness of CPR techniques in Italy, thus saving lives through training and information.

During the evening, crucial topics regarding first aid on infants and children will be addressed, with a focus on foreign body disobstruction maneuvers. Participants will also have the opportunity to attend a hands-on demonstration on patient simulators to learn hands-on emergency response techniques.

The invitation is open to all, with the hope that increasing participation will contribute to the dissemination of these fundamental skills, thereby increasing safety and readiness for intervention when needed.
