Nine strategies and collaboration of the Euro-Mediterranean region to address climate-related challenges
The European Center for Disaster Medicine (CEMEC) recently held an important meeting with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) and the Regional Reference Center for the Prevention and Management of Emergencies (CeRVEnE).WFP comprises 34 countries situated around the Mediterranean Sea, focusing on critical issues such as conflicts, security, and climate change. CeRVEnE, based in Italy, is a specialized center addressing emergencies stemming from natural disasters and climate change.
The objective of the meeting was to devise new strategies for enhanced collaboration, particularly within the Mediterranean Sea region, aimed at bolstering countries' preparedness for disasters and climate-related challenges. This initiative aligns with Agenda 2030, a comprehensive plan for global improvement by 2030.
This collaborative effort emphasizes the mutual commitment to cooperative action and the pursuit of solutions to the region's pressing challenges.
